Lesson 2 - DRAWING COMPETITION
(The teacher enters the classroom)
Teacher : Good morning children.
Children : Good morning ma’am.
Teacher : How are you?
Children : We are fine, thank you! How are you ma’am?
Teacher : I am fine too, thank you. Children, do you remember we
have a drawing competition today. Let’s go out in the field.
Children : Yes ma’am.
Teacher : Have you brought your colours and drawing sheets?
Children : Yes ma’am.
Teacher : What type of colours have you brought?
Meena : I have brought crayons.
Sahil : I have brought pencil colours.
Manjeet : I have brought water colours.
Sheeba : I forgot to bring my colours.
Teacher : No problem, Sahil can share his colours with you. What are
you going to draw Manjeet?
Manjeet : I’m going to draw a fruit basket.
Teacher : Very good. What about you Meena?
Meena : Ma’am, I am going to draw a monkey sitting on a branch.
Teacher : Very good! Now, all of you may begin to draw. All the best.
(All the children have finished their work. The bell rings for lunch
break.)
Teacher : I will declare the result after the lunch break. Children : Okay, ma’am. (After the lunch break) Teacher : All of you have done very well. Sheeba stands first, John stands second and Manjeet stands third. Sheeba, John and Manjeet: Thank you ma’am. Teacher : Did you all enjoy the drawing competition? Children : Yes ma’am, very much.

अध्यापक: सुप्रभात बच्चों।
बच्चे (एक साथ): सुप्रभात मैडम।
अध्यापक: कैसे हो तुम सब?
बच्चे: हम ठीक हैं, धन्यवाद! आप कैसी हैं मैडम?
अध्यापक: मैं भी ठीक हूँ, धन्यवाद। बच्चों, क्या तुम्हें याद है?
बच्चे: क्या मैडम?
अध्यापक: आज हमारी चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता है। चलो, मैदान में चलते हैं।
बच्चे: जी मैडम।
अध्यापक: क्या तुम रंग और ड्रॉइंग शीट लाए हो?
बच्चे: जी मैडम।
अध्यापक: कौन-कौन से रंग लाए हो?
मीना: मैं मोम रंग (क्रेयॉन्स) लाई हूँ।
साहिल: मैं पेंसिल रंग लाया हूँ।
मंजीत: मैं पानी के रंग लाया हूँ।
शीबा: मैडम, मैं अपने रंग लाना भूल गई।
अध्यापक: कोई बात नहीं, साहिल अपने रंग तुम्हारे साथ बाँटेगा। मंजीत, तुम क्या बनाओगे?
मंजीत: मैं फलों की टोकरी बनाऊँगा।
अध्यापक: बहुत अच्छा! और तुम मीना?
मीना: मैं पेड़ की डाली पर बैठा बंदर बनाऊँगी।
अध्यापक: बहुत बढ़िया! अब सब चित्र बनाना शुरू करो। शुभकामनाएँ!
(सभी बच्चे चित्र बनाते हैं। लंच ब्रेक की घंटी बजती है)
अध्यापक: मैं परिणाम लंच ब्रेक के बाद बताऊँगी।
बच्चे: ठीक है, मैडम।
(लंच ब्रेक के बाद)
अध्यापक: तुम सबने बहुत अच्छा चित्र बनाया है।
(नाम लेकर) शीबा प्रथम, जॉन द्वितीय, और मंजीत तृतीय स्थान पर आए हैं।
शीबा, जॉन और मंजीत: धन्यवाद मैडम।
अध्यापक: क्या सबने प्रतियोगिता का आनंद लिया?
बच्चे: जी मैडम, बहुत।
