Lesson 6-MY FAMILY
I am Chirag. I am thirteen years old. I live in a joint family in Allahabad.
There are six members i n my family. I have a younger sister. Her
name is Nikita. She is very naughty and sweet.
My grandfather is the head of the family. We call him ‘baba ji’. My
grand mother is the soul of the family. We call her ‘dadi ji’. We love to
spend time with them.
My baba ji is fond of music. He teaches us to sing songs and bhajans.
My dadi ji is fond of making sweet dishes. She tells us new stories
every night. My father is a lawyer. He is an honest person. My mother works in an office and we take care of one another very well.
One day we all went for a picnic. The place was very beautiful. My
baba ji made tasty snacks for us. I played badminton with my
grandmother. We played antakshari. We enjoyed the picnic very much
and returned home before it was dark.

मेरे दादाजी परिवार के मुखिया हैं। हम उन्हें “बाबा जी” कहते हैं। मेरी दादीजी परिवार की जान हैं। हम उन्हें “दादी जी” कहते हैं। हमें उनके साथ समय बिताना बहुत अच्छा लगता है।
मेरे बाबा जी को संगीत का शौक है। वे हमें गाने और भजन गाना सिखाते हैं। मेरी दादी जी को मिठाई बनाने का शौक है। वे हमें हर रात नई कहानियाँ सुनाती हैं। मेरे पिताजी वकील हैं। वे एक ईमानदार व्यक्ति हैं। मेरी माताजी एक ऑफिस में काम करती हैं और हम सब एक-दूसरे का बहुत अच्छे से ख्याल रखते हैं। एक दिन हम सब पिकनिक पर गए। वह जगह बहुत सुंदर थी। मेरे बाबा जी ने हमारे लिए स्वादिष्ट नाश्ता बनाया। मैंने अपनी दादी जी के साथ बैडमिंटन खेला। हमने अंताक्षरी खेली। हमने पिकनिक का बहुत आनंद लिया और अंधेरा होने से पहले घर लौट आए।
