Hindi Translation:
यह एक बूढ़े आदमी की कहानी है जो अपने खेत में शलजम के कुछ बीज बोता है। शलजम के बीज उग गए। शलजम के पौधे बढ़ते गए और बढ़ते गए।

English:
The old man wants to pull up the enormous turnip. He tries to pull it many times but he can not pull up the enormous turnip.
Hindi Translation:
बूढ़ा आदमी उस बहुत बड़े शलजम को जमीन से बाहर निकालना चाहता है। वह उसे कई बार खींचने की कोशिश करता है, लेकिन वह उस बहुत बड़े शलजम को बाहर नहीं निकाल पाता।

English:
An old woman comes there. “What are you doing?” she asks the old man.
Hindi Translation:
वहाँ एक बूढ़ी औरत आती है। वह बूढ़े आदमी से पूछती है, “तुम क्या कर रहे हो?”
English:
“I want to pull up this enormous turnip,” says the old man.
Hindi Translation:
