Lesson 8 Bobby: the robot
Atul read an advertisement in the newspaper – “You can make your own robot, a robot that hops.”
अतुल ने अखबार में एक विज्ञापन पढ़ा – “आप अपना खुद का रोबोट बना सकते हैं, एक ऐसा रोबोट जो कूदता है।”
As soon as he read this, he said excitedly, “Now I can make my own hopping robot!”
जैसे ही उसने यह पढ़ा, वह उत्साह से बोला, “अब मैं अपना खुद का कूदने वाला रोबोट बना सकता हूँ!”
He rushed to the shop and bought a robot kit.
वह जल्दी से दुकान की ओर भागा और एक रोबोट किट खरीदी।
On reaching home he assembled all the parts of the robot and named it Bobby.
घर पहुँचकर उसने रोबोट के सभी हिस्सों को जोड़ा और उसका नाम बॉबी रखा।
But Atul could not make Bobby hop.
लेकिन अतुल बॉबी को कूदने नहीं करा सका।
He read the instructions carefully and tried to reassemble it, but failed.
उसने निर्देशों को ध्यान से पढ़ा और दोबारा जोड़ने की कोशिश की, लेकिन असफल रहा।
Atul called his mother to help him.
अतुल ने अपनी माँ को मदद के लिए बुलाया।
Mother also tried very hard but she too could not make Bobby hop.
माँ ने भी बहुत कोशिश की, लेकिन वह भी बॉबी को कूदने नहीं करा सकीं।
Atul’s father came in to find out what they were doing.
अतुल के पिता यह देखने आए कि वे क्या कर रहे हैं।
One after the other, everyone in the house tried.
एक के बाद एक, घर के सभी लोगों ने कोशिश की।
No one could make Bobby hop.
कोई भी बॉबी को कूदने नहीं करा सका।
At last Atul’s sister, Mala saw the phone number of the shop on the packet.
अंत में, अतुल की बहन माला ने पैकेट पर दुकान का फोन नंबर देखा।
She called up the shopkeeper.
उसने दुकानदार को फोन किया।
She asked, “Why is Bobby not hopping?”
उसने पूछा, “बॉबी कूद क्यों नहीं रहा है?”
The shopkeeper replied, “You must tap it on its head after assembling all the parts.”
दुकानदार ने जवाब दिया, “सभी हिस्सों को जोड़ने के बाद उसके सिर पर हल्का सा थपथपाना होगा।”
Now Atul tapped on Bobby’s head.
अब अतुल ने बॉबी के सिर पर थपथपाया।
Wonder of wonders, Bobby hopped!
अद्भुत! बॉबी कूद गया!
Bobby, the robot, hopped all around in the room.
बॉबी, वह रोबोट, पूरे कमरे में कूदने लगा।
Atul called his friends to play with it.
अतुल ने अपने दोस्तों को इसके साथ खेलने के लिए बुलाया।
Prashant, one of his friends asked, “What are the other functions of your robot?”
प्रशांत, उसके दोस्तों में से एक ने पूछा, “तुम्हारे रोबोट के और क्या-क्या काम हैं?”
“It performs various functions. It walks, speaks and moves its arms too,” Atul replied.
“यह कई काम करता है। यह चलता है, बोलता है और अपने हाथ भी हिलाता है,” अतुल ने उत्तर दिया।
All his friends played with Bobby and enjoyed.
उसके सभी दोस्तों ने बॉबी के साथ खेला और आनंद लिया।
