Introduction
Rainbow Class 7 Lesson 12 – Kabir tells us about the life and teachings of the great Indian saint and poet Sant Kabir Das. Kabir preached the message of love, peace, equality, and unity. He believed that God is one and taught people to rise above caste, religion, and hatred. His simple couplets (Dohas) continue to inspire people even today.

He preached people to love each other… Kabir grew older.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कबीर लोगों को एक-दूसरे से प्रेम करने की शिक्षा देते थे। वे ईश्वर की महिमा गाते हुए एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक घूमते थे।
समय बीतता गया और कबीर वृद्ध हो गए। तब तक उनके हजारों अनुयायी बन चुके थे।

कबीर के गीत और दोहे हमें बताते हैं कि ईश्वर हर जगह मौजूद हैं।
उनकी रचनाएँ सिद्ध करती हैं कि वे एक महान संत, विचारक और समाज सुधारक थे।
उनके प्रसिद्ध दोहे—
ऐसी वाणी बोलिए, मन का आपा खोय।
औरन को शीतल करे, आपहुं शीतल होय।।
कबीरा खड़ा बाज़ार में, सबकी माँगे खैर।
ना काहू से दोस्ती, ना काहू से बैर।।

Kabir taught everyone to love God… the emperor set Kabir free.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कबीर कहा करते थे—
“कबीर अल्लाह और राम दोनों के बच्चे हैं।”
कुछ लोगों को उनकी यह बात पसंद नहीं आई। वे उन्हें बादशाह के पास ले गए।
बादशाह ने सैनिकों को आदेश दिया कि कबीर को नदी में फेंक दिया जाए।
सैनिकों ने उन्हें नदी में फेंका, लेकिन वे डूबे नहीं।
फिर उन्हें एक झोपड़ी में बंद करके आग लगा दी गई, लेकिन वे सुरक्षित रहे।
अंत में उन्हें एक पागल हाथी के सामने छोड़ दिया गया, लेकिन हाथी ने भी उन्हें कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाया।
आखिरकार बादशाह ने उन्हें मुक्त कर दिया।

हिंदी अनुवाद
जब कबीर की मृत्यु हुई, तब उनके अनुयायियों में विवाद हो गया।
मुसलमान उनके शरीर को दफनाना चाहते थे और हिंदू उनका अंतिम संस्कार करना चाहते थे।
तभी आकाश से कबीर की आवाज़ आई—
“मेरे शरीर से चादर हटा दो।”
जब लोगों ने चादर हटाई तो वहाँ शरीर नहीं था, केवल फूल थे।
मुसलमान आधे फूल ले गए और हिंदू बाकी आधे फूल लेकर चले गए।
